ISABEL I OF CASTILE
Isabel I, of Castile
Isabel was born in Madrigal de las Altas Torres, in Avila on 22 April 1451. She was the daughter of John II of Castile and Isabel of Portugal. She belonged to Trastamara dynasty and she had a younger brother called Alfonso and a half-brother called Enrique. When her father died in 1454, her half-brother ascended to the throne as Enrique IV. Castillian noblemen didn't want Enrique as a king so a small civil war started for removing him the power and giving it to his half-brother, Alfonso. But unfortunatelly Alfonso died and Enrique continued being the king. In 1474, Enrique IV died and the crown suffered internal struggles which led to a civil war, between Isabel (supported by Aragon and some Castillian noblemen) and Juana 'La Beltraneja' (supported by Portugal).

-Hello.
+We are going to ask her three questions about the most important things that she have done in her life. He first question is about the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. Did you expected that you could finish the reconquest and have all Al-Andalus under your kingdom?
-Well, I have to say that I expected something similar to what had happened in this year. But I thought that it won't occur the same year that the conquer of the "India".
+Oh, that's interesting. The second question goes for Colon's voyage. How could you get the money for the ships?
-This wasn't difficult. The only this I had to do was to put all my jewellery under the protection of an Italian bank and they paid me. After this, I could pay a big crew and three ships for the expedition.
+And the last question is about the next king of Castile. Do you think that Juana is going to be capable of governing such a kingdom with her mental illness?
-This is going to be examinated by the Cortes, so it doesn't uncover me.
+Thanks for your attention. This is the end of the interview.
-Your welcome. Good bye.
